We have teamed up with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s (RBKC) Bikeminded campaign to give a lucky reader the chance to win a ticket to ‘Bespoke Bicycles’ taking place on Saturday 15 October at the Victoria and Albert (V&A) museum.
Part of the V&A’s current Power of Making exhibition, this all day workshop will see you giving your bike a makeover, under the expert direction of designer, Amber Heptinstall.
‘You’ll be stripping down your saddle, cushioning its frame and reinventing your ride using leather’ says Amber, in what sounds like a very hands-on way to give your bike a stylish revamp!
The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea launched its three year cycling campaign, Bikeminded this summer, with the aim of encouraging more residents and workers in the borough to take up cycling, to boost their well-being and improve the local environment.
Visit Bikeminded to get daily updated features, advice, top tips and ideas to inspire and encourage you to get on two wheels. There are also some great events coming up soon, including a coffee and cake cycling tour and a ghost ride around the borough, follow Bikeminded on Twitter or Facebook to keep in the loop.
Also look out for our Bikeminded bike hero features coming up soon on our local Media Street sites!
WIN! One lucky reader will win a ticket to 'Bespoke Bicycles" event at the V&A museum. To enter, simply email us your name and contact telephone number by clicking here. The winner will be picked at random on Monday 10 October. Good luck!
