If you simply can't get enough of the Notting Hill Carnival, then you're in luck! A musical about the Notting Hill Carnival, starring young people from inner London, is coming to the Tabernacle this September.
CARNIVAL - THE MUSICAL by DreamArts, follows a hesitant Carnival Queen, who wants nothing more than freedom from her costume and world of dance. She meets a street-smart character and they flee the gangs and hostile groups with help from Nicki Minaj, a platinum-selling artist, and other musicians.
Graham Whitlock, Artistic Director of DreamArts, said: "CARNIVAL-THE MUSICAL has been created by talented young Londoners inspired by the world's biggest street party. It captures the music, dance, costumes, heart and soul of Notting Hill Carnival, and celebrates its true meaning - freedom."
Meanwhile, the Notting Hill Carnival has finally been given the all clear to go ahead albeit the shorter finising time of 7pm.
Carnival - The Muscial runs from 2-4 September 4pm & 8pm at the Tabernacle.
