A few record stores in Notting Hill Gate harbour a variety of great music so it's no surprise the Notting Hill Gate Blag Club is situated just yards away from this music goldmine.
So on 20 October, the Blag Club will be hosting an Acoustic night where the UK's upcoming musical talents will be playing a stripped down, acoustic version of their exciting sets as they prepare to break into the UK music spotlight.

Elliot Morris | Lorna Blackwood
The line up consists of Milla Traylen, seven-piece band Gorgeous Geroge, who are about to release their debut EP, xxx, Lorna Blackwood, Ben Sheldrick and Elliot Morris, who has already appeared and performed at BBC programmes The Beat and Tom Robinson's 6music show Fresh on the Net.
The evening's organiser, Claire Barrance, said: "This evening is about bringing a collection of the best new music to the local area in an unplugged, intimate setting. There is a large amount of great independent artists in the UK who extensively tour around the country to promote their music.
"This is about showcasing that talent in a key area of London, bringing entertainment and creating a community for music lovers and artists."
So why watch the X Factor when you can simply meet with music lovers and give your support the local and independent music scene that can only be found in Notting Hill.
