Bring out the balloons and birthday cake as one of our favourite cinemas is now a century old! The Electric Cinema, Portobello Road's famous cinema, reaches its historic landmark this Sunday and will celebrate it throughout the weekend with an Eclectic Electric All-Nighter tonight featuring films from the 1960s such as The Trip and Scorpio Rising.
Then on Sunday, London's oldest cinema will present Rebel Dread Double Bill, showing Superstonic Sound: The Rebel Dread and +Sounds Like A Revolution. This screening will be hosted by DJ and filmmaker Don Letts followed by a Q&A session with him after the screenings.
And if you can't make it to these celebratory screenings, the Electric Cinema
will be showing Jonny Depp's latest swashbuckling movie Pirates of the Carribean 4: On Stranger Tides in 3D on 18, 22 and 28 May with a choice of Carribean foods and cocktails.
