Just yesterday the weather couldn't decide if it wanted to shower us with rain, treat us to sun or pelt us with hail. British weather aside, it has been quite a week here in Notting Hill wouldn't you agree?
Firstly, there were a few new openings to take note of; we welcome onto Portobello Road Pizza East Portobello, who have taken their acclaimed pizzas from East London's Shoreditch to give us West Londoners a pizza of the action. Critics and locals have already given their thumbs up so pop in for a slice.
Today we see Willa Keswick's new boutique, Village Bicycle, grace Notting Hill with its 1960s inspired interior, selling contemporary clothing with the vision of “allowing fashion and style to be more accessible.”
St. John's Church continues to host the Notting Hill Mayfest, with performances from a variety of musical genres to treat your ears and a reminder that the Notting Hill Carnival is not too far off.
And of course, we can't talk about Notting Hill without hearing about famous faces. Robbie Williams' former apartment is up for sale for a cool £3.45m; while a few members of the Kings of Leon, a Rolling Stone and fashionistas witnessed the flamboyantly grotesque debut of famous Paris cabaret Le Crazy Horse at Supperclub.
Finally, if you're passing through Holland Park (pictured), say hello to these porky fellas.
