Readers of the review website, Zagat, have voted Notting Hill's The Ledbury as best London restaurant. The Ledbury beat of the likes of Restuarant Gordon Ramsey on Royal Hospital Road in Chelsea and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in Knightsbridge.
Zagat rates diners and restuarants on a point scale out of 30 - 30 being the top score - in food, decor and service. The Ledbury was awarded 29, 25 and 28, pipping French restuarant Pied à Terre to the top spot.
Diners have described the French restaurant as "faultless", "friendly and attentive" with a "delicious and exciting fare" and is nothing but the "best French in London".
In a similar list compiled by review website TripAdvisor in June, Gordon Ramsey's 68 Hospital Road restaurant came top while The Ledbury was placed at 7th as rated and reviewed by TripAdvisor readers.
Last month, The Ledbury was targeted as part of the London riots, where rioters stole diners' possessions before being driven out by their brave staff.
