Alise Trautmane, founder and creative director of luxury ready-to-wear label NARCISS, handpicked her favourite young, up-and-coming talent to showcase their work in her new flagship boutique in London’s Westbourne Grove; “I’ve always been fascinated by the level of creative talent in London. With the opening of my new store, I wanted to use the Narciss space as a creative hub, to showcase works from my favorite emerging designers and artist, ones who have inspired me, have a synergy with my collections and ones that I feel the Narciss customer will truly understand and appreciate.”
And the who’s who of emerging designers turned up last night in Notting Hill
. The high end boutique welcomed several Central Saint Martin graduates among local designers and artists to showcase their work and merge their amazing creativity.
Claudine London’s exclusive evening bags which have been featured in Harper’s Bazaar and Grazia, not to mention a staple on the read carpet, were at NARCISS for the evening. The handbags feature luxury satins, gold-plated fittings, and leather finishes, with the edgiest laser cutting and her signature sharp, graphic lines.
Along with Claudine London, Dominique Mosley’s premium luxury scarves are always eye catching. The signature prints have recently been added to Harrods and can be seen in major publications including Drapers and Cosmopolitan.
Another CSM graduate, Eleanor Barreau has made a name for herself with countless exhibitions and a personal gallery that continues to grow. Primarily focusing on women and the way they are represented through advertising, Barreau explores women’s rights and the concept of feminine beauty through her paintings.
Shoes could not be forgotten and designer, Jerome C Rousseau’s distinctive colorful footwear never fails to light up a room. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Cameron Diaz, Katie Holmes, January Jones and Kristen Stewart have been seen in his heels.
A mix of Art Deco, ancient Rome, and quirky contemporary magnetic clasps, Zina S Sparling jewelry has quickly become a top London pick. A bespoke service is also offered in case a buyer likes the piece but would prefer a different stone. Down to the elegant packaging, the line is completely timeless.
The evening out was a stellar mix of creative minds on top of NARCISS’s own “Snow Bow Act I” collection. Events like this is what NARCISS is all about; love for beauty and fashion.
